Why Don't We Ease on Down the Road?

Hi Everybody! So I know it's been a while....admittedly, I've been a little sad over my paper cutter. It truly was a crushing defeat for me. I'm still not even done paying it off and so, to break it on day two of having it, DURING my birthday week cut into me a bit, if you know what I mean. I have two payments left on it before I can purchase another one, and seriously it's thrown me off schedule. I also ran out of photo black ink and paper so printing is out of the question right now. BUT! We are not defeated! Okay so maybe we are a little defeated because, as you can see in the picture above, I made one new earring, and needed a break. It's a gloomy day today and so you guys know how it is for me when that's the case. And if you're new here, that just means that I am super low energy on gloomy days. I'm also fighting trigeminal neuralgia and the doctors have upped my medicine to 1200mg and so, in addition to the dizziness, I am also extremely lethargic which makes it difficult to create anything--yet alone stay awake. But, hey we press on.

That said, I am trying to speak more kindly to myself. Previously, my tendency would be to say things like "Ugh, you're so behind schedule" or "Look at you resting when you should be working--don't you have to launch this website as soon as possible?! Sooner rather than later ". But lately I've been trying to challenge and circumvent these feelings. So I took quite a bit of time off after breaking the paper cutter which was good, I needed that. The discipline I've built up working on my art everyday has waned and that's okay Najwa, now all we have to do is gently ease ourself back into things, but again I remind you gently. So yeah, making only one earring, according to Najwa standards, is not ideal, but it's something. Sure, I can't cut the books once I've printed them but, in the interim, I've managed to print 3 more books as I wait to buy a new one.

So yeah, I just wanted to check in, not just with you guys but also with myself. I hope this wasn't too boring or anything....AH! Stop! You're doing it again! Shoo negative thoughts shoo! THIS was the most interesting blog post the people have EVER read! It was enjoyable and tantalizing and the people were simply beside themselves reading it. You're doing okay lady, you're doing okay :)

Just keep going Najwa, you're well on your way :)

Oh! Look (I know you can't actually look cause this is a blog post) but the sun just came out! (Well, it came out for just a second, as if to egg me on, caressing me gently from above saying come now, why don't we keep on easing down the road?)

Edit: And would you look at that? Easing down the road got me here. This set of five is almost done. So what are we going to do next? You guessed it! We're gonna keep easing on down the road, to the post office cause its time to renew my passport. I've been slacking on adulting ya'll it's time to catch up a bit on that stuff...More on this later!!
